Enterprise Network Infrastructure

Reliable, performant and properly dimensioned network infrastructure is a backbone of every company’s successful operation.

Network infrastructure enables connection and communication of users and applications/services for the purpose of sharing resources and distribution of data/information.

Exponential increase in the number of devices connected to the Enterprise network infrastructure has led to development and implementation of numerous IoT (Internet of Things) applications and services. New apps and cloud services in IoT environment set high standards regarding scalability, flexibility and performances.

A wide range of traditional network technologies and manual configuration of a great number of devices make the network management system complex.

The solution lies in the software-defined networks (Software Defined Networks – SDN) that enable a high level of automation and programmability. SDN networks provide optimization of performances, higher efficiency and flexibility for realization of various user requirements.

Enterprise network infrastructure includes LAN/WLAN, WAN, and Internet network segments. When designing modern enterprise networks, whether based on traditional or SDN solutions, a special focus lies on providing the following features:

The solutions offered

MDS offers a wide portfolio of SDN and traditional solutions for the enterprise network infrastructure, taking into account different business models and user requirements:

SDN network solutions:

Software
Defined Access

SD-Access integrates network and security functionality in the LAN segment, including end-user identification and verification, implementation of policies and network segmentation, continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning and prevention/limitation of malicious activities. It is based on Cisco DNAC, ISE and Catalyst platforms.

Software
Defined WAN

SD-WAN is a scalable solution that integrates network and security functionality in WAN segment independently of transport. In addition to authentication, encryption and data integrity, SD-WAN solution enables centralized management, flexible WAN topologies, segmentation, application-aware routing, multi-layer security, DIA, SaaS optimization as well as integration with multi-cloud laaS platforms

Traditional network solutions

Wired LAN

Traditional solutions in the LAN network segment are based on hierarchical architecture and should provide scalability, segmentation and high reliability. Authentication and authorization of end devices is ensured by implementation of 802.1x protocols. To reduce operational complexity, it is possible to implement Cisco DNAC for automation of configuration and management of network devices.

Wireless LAN

WLAN provides mobility and high performance for transmission of voice and data service for corporate users, guest internet access and connectivity for IoT devices. WLAN infrastructure is based on the latest standards including IEEE 802.11ax (WiFi 6).

Virtual Private Network

Traditional VPN solutions involve the implementation of DMVPN, GetVPN, or FlexVPN technologies, which provide authentication, encryption and integrity of data in WAN networks.

Internet
Edge

Internet Edge is a network infrastructure which enables connectivity to Internet network. It is possible to implement different models of connection with Internet service providers (one or two providers, static or BGP dynamic routing).
