Complete follow-up and control of costs of telephone calls
 
One of priority tasks of every Manager in modern environment of business operations is to follow-up all costs of operation process. One may even say that the locating and reducing of unnecessary expenses is the frequent key of success in business operations. The costs of telephone conversations are one of permanent and unavoidable costs of business operations. The bigger the company is, the scope of telephone traffic is greater and so are the costs. How many Managers are frustrated each month by high level of telephone accounts which must be simply paid, but not knowing why the account is so high? The Telekom reports, which may be obtained, are usually huge and impractical for structure analysis of conducted telephone conversations. By the use of IP Telephony, there is an opportunity for drastic reducing of costs and entire overview into their structure. The companies with dislocated organizational units, having WAN network, may practically reduce the costs of internal telephone conversations to zero, using the IP Telephony. In addition, there are further opportunities for the savings. Analyzing the structure of conducted telephone conversations one may obtain information on the number of “business” and “private” telephone conversations, the number of calls via mobile telephone as well as the number of calls via fixed service operator and alike, all of them falling into the group of total costs.
 
IPTStat software enables to all users of Cisco IP Telephony to conduct the simple follow-up and analysis of entire telephone traffic, namely to have full control of telephone costs. By the use of IPT Stat, one may have an insight into all external and internal:
  • realized calls
  • received calls
  • missed calls
Selection of telephone calls overview may be obtained per various criteria, such as:

  • User’s defined period (selection of initial and final date of the period),
  • review of particular extension or for all extensions;
  • review for one or for all users.

    Access to all calls is simple and rapid, irrespective of the call made yesterday or a year ago. Shown parameters of each individual call are:
    • Incoming and called telephone number
    • Date and exact time of call
    • Call duration (in seconds)
    • Number of pulses for local calls
    • Number of minutes for international calls
    • Name of a town/city for local intercity calls
    • Name of a country for international calls
    • Price of conversation
  • Implementation of Telekom Tariff System
     
    One of important IPT Stat characteristics in computing the costs of each individual call is that the entire Tariff System of Telekom should be engaged including all its specificalities, such as various prices for the periods of high and low traffic, various prices for inter-city zones as well as various prices for complete international zone system (from Albania and Andorra up to Cape Verde Islands and Zimbabwe). These parameters of the Tariff System are recorded by the user (administrator) and should Telekom eventually change its tariffs, these parameters will be simply altered.  
     
    Statistical Reports
     

    IPT Stat has the ability to obtain the most various statistical reports, which provide for detailed information on the structure of realized and received calls. All reports may be produced either as the tables or graphs in the shape of histograms or statistical graphic diagrams. Standard package of statistical reports covers:

    • Top users (the biggest users from the point of time, pulses, price of conversation)
    • Costs structure of total calls (fixed, mobile, inter-city, international either for individual or for all users
    • Statistics of mobile (per different operators), inter-city (per towns and cities) or international (per countries) calls
    • Periodic Summary Reports per users

    It should be noted that it is possible, against the user’s request, either to extend or pre-define the standard package of Statistical Reports on the basis of specific ones.
