Infotech 2010 |
Traditionally, IT conference Infotech2010 was once again held in charming spa city Vrnjacka Banja, in June 2010.
This year, special focus of conference was on using of newest IT technologies in development of telecommunication infrastructure and services, banking and tax services and development of ICT business in small and midrange companies.

TECHNOBANK 2010- BANKING & RETAIL TECHNOLOGIES |
Traditional Banking & Retail event TECHNOBANK 2010 was held in Hotel Continental Belgrade from April 14th to 15th 2010. The main subject of conference was on retail industry and all exhibitors presented wide range of their products and services.
MDS has presented innovative network security solutions with main focus on Quails (www.qualys.com) company which is one of the leaders in managing and analyzing network security vulnerability.
On second day of the event, MDS engineer Marko Tanasković presented live presentation of hacker attack on Windows 2003 server system. His succesful presentation "Penetration testing and analyzing the risk of computer and communication systems" showed the future trends in computer network protection.

Business-Experts meeting ISMS |
On February 2.2010, Association of Informatics Activities and Info Center organized business-experts meeting about implementation of Information Security Management System according to requirements of ISO 27001 standard.
The meeting was organized mostly for companies that strongly depend on security of information, such as Telco companies, financial companies and organizations, IS and IT providers, government institutions etc.
Presenting its own case, MDS shown all benefits and efficiency improvements from ISMS certification that MDS achieved two years ago.

Telecommunication forum (Telfor 2009), Belgrade Sava Center November 24-26 |
Traditional telecommunication forum Telfor 2009 was held in Sava Center from Nov.24. to Nov. 26.2009. Many IT and telecommunications experts was gathered to discuss all relevant cases and questions: technical, development, regulatory, economic, service and production as well.
There were numerous authors sections that presented scientific and experts solutions, technical and commercial company presentations, case studies, seminars and equipment and solution exhibitions.
MDS Informaticki inzenjering presented the newest trends and solutions of its foreign partners. The main point was on network security solutions, which was presented on DMVPN technology in data protection in public MPLS VPN network presentation.

The Knowledge is power effect - Cisco Expo 2009 |
Traditional Cisco Systems meeting "Cisco Expo" was held in Hotel Hyatt on Not. 10. and Nov.11.2009.
Once again it was a gathering place for all IT experts and businessman's from region and also nice opportunity for local Cisco partners and distributors to present new solutions.
This year MDS presented practical usage of DMVPN technology in data protection in public MPLS VPN network.
MDS presentation and both was visited by numerous visitors.

MDS on Infofest 2009 |
Traditional 16.th Festival of Informatics Achievements INFOFEST 2009 was held in Budva (Montenegro) from September 27. until October 3. 2009.
As they did on previous Infofest events, experts from MDS have had an interesting and very well visited technical presentation with fallowing subject: Architecture of security system for PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) standard computer network support.
Impressions from Infofest 2009 are always same; Infofest is not just common technical and business gathering festival. Above all, it's a meeting place for all IT professionals from region where they exchange their experiences in Mediterranean surrounding of old Budva town.

Cisco ATP specialization |
Once again, MDS Informaticki Inzenjering has successfully satisfied strong criteria's for Cisco Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) specialization in Unified Contact Centre Enterprise Solution domain. It was another approval that MDS is qualified and capable to design, implement and support complex contact centre solutions.
Cisco Unified Contact Centre Enterprise program is foxed on High-End Enterprise Contact Centres market, which assumes demanding the full customer satisfaction of functionality, scalability and accessibility of Contact Centres.
Unified Contact Centre Enterprise ATP specialization is a strong recommendation that implemented solution would have intelligent call routing, multi channel user-agent communication and would be integrated to existing corporate business applications.
It should be mentioned that Cisco ATP program attendance is reserved only for partners that are chosen by Cisco Systems. On other words, only highly qualified Cisco certified partners can implement Contact Centre solutions. First, they must have relevant market and industrial references and capabilities in order to be nominated to Cisco ATP program. With ATP specialization renewal, MDS has confirmed and continued successful partnership with Cisco Systems in IP Telephony filed.
MDS Informaticki Inzenjering ( UCCE ATP certified since 2008. ) is the only Cisco partner in Serbia that succesfuly realized ATP programm. It means that MDS is the only one Cisco qualified partner in Serbia that has permission and certificate to implement Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise solutions.

Best greetings from Ohrid |
At the end of August 2009, MDS received a nice postcard from Ohrid (FYR Macedonia) with sincere regards from "Dečje srce" (Children Hart) organization and all their members. With a little help of MDS and other donors, all these children have had a really nice holiday in Ohrid with lot of swimming, playing and laughing.

Another proof of successful business continuity - MDS has received the Cisco partnership reward for 2008. |

On Cisco Partner Summit held in Boston USA (June 2. to June 4. 2009), MDS Informaticki inzenjering was announced as the Partner of the year for public area in Eastern Europe region.
Every year, Cisco Systems rewards the most successful partners in the certain regions. MDS has already received similar Cisco rewards. The first one was in 1997, when MDS reached first ranking reward for Enterprise partner of the year and the successful tradition was confirmed by Cisco rewards in 2005 and 2007. The most recent reward for 2008 is just another proof of successful business continuity of MDS Informaticki inzenejring.
The main focus of the summit called "Leaders Together", was how to deal with global financial crises, actually how to overwhelm all problems caused by actual financial crisis and remain successful business course.
Among 1500 Cisco worldwide partners was gathered on the Summit and all other small partners could also participate on Summit, virtually by video conferencing.

Action "edukacij@": about 80% of primary and secondary schools in Serbia have got broadband internet connection |
Networking of school is entering in the final phase! |
Within action "edukacij@", on June-12-2009, two informatical cabinets were opened, one in elementary school "Borislav Pekic" on Beanijska kosa and the other one in elementary school "22nd October" in Surcin!
Thanks to the donation of MDS Infornaticki inzenjering and Belgrade Chamber of commerce who were donors of 15 and 10 computers for elementary schools "Borislav Pekic and "22nd October, and the company Telekom Serbia, who has installed free broadband internet connection in both schools, students of these schools celebrated the end of the school year in the new IT cabinet!
Opening party was organized in the informatical cabinet of elementary school "Borislav Pekic" and all visitors had an opportunity to see Microsoft Web based conference and communication between these two schools. It was an example of another way of many communication opportunities provided by the Internet.

Once again Spa Center Vrnjacka Banja was a gathering place of well-known and most important domestic and foreign IT companies. Conference was traditionally organized by JURIT organization, under the auspices of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and relevant ministries of the Serbian Government, the National Bank and Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.
The main subject of conference's presentations and discussions was an implementation of new IT solutions in the development of telecommunication infrastructure and services, banking business, and tax administration. Some of the already implemented ICT business solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises were presented and some of the cost effective production solutions as well.
MDS informaticki inzenjering, as one of the gold sponsors, presented the new technologies and solutions in IP videoconferencing, IP security and 3G technologies.

BISEC 09-forum conference on information security |
On May 25. The newly established forum BISEC 09 was held in the Hall of the National Bank of Serbia. The topic of forum was information security in IT systems, but main objective of the conference was to connect the banking and financial institutions with IT companies that offer information security solutions. Academic organizations and institutions were involved in forum as well.
Partners (speakers) on the forum were the representatives of best-known companies and financial institutions in the local market, including MDS Informaticki inzenjering as one of the biggest IT partner of National bank of Serbia.
Forum was very well visited and all partners hope that this forum will become a traditional one.

Traditional convention of Tandberg's partners by name "Day of Natural Communication", which held this year, brought together representatives from more than 30 countries around the world, which are awarded for successful individuals and projects.
This time, on our great satisfaction, MDS project "The World in your office" was declared for the best conceptual solution, case study and marketing plan in 2008.
Tandberg present his partners concept solutions and activities in the project, from the initiating phase to the closing phase.
Especially, praise was on everyday communication and partnership between Tandberg and a MDS.
The results tell a lot and show this year increasing sales of Tandberg's Videoconferencing system in the domestic market for more than 40% compared to 2007.
